چکیده
This paper focuses on thermal and mechanical properties of a hardened cement paste reinforced with Posidonia-Oceanica fibers. Fibers volume fractions are varied from 0% to 20%. Thermophysical measured. Simplified models developed predict conductivity, tensile compressive stresses fracture toughness variation as function fibers fraction geometrical characteristics samples. Results showed that the addition improved material insulating properties. In fact, decrease about 22% (from 0.0718 W.m-1.K-1 0.559 W.m-1.K-1) conductivity was found adding 20% compared control paste. Concerning properties, flexural strengths increased for fiber in range 5 10% then decreased higher fractions. It shown through simplified model MEB observations agglomeration high is behind this phenomenon. Moreover, noticeable increase observed increasing amount: instance, an 65% 0.245 MPa.m1/2 0.404 MPa.m1/2) introduction composite. analytical also toughness. These validated experimental data.

Thermophysical and Mechanical Properties of Hardened Cement Paste with Microencapsulated Phase Change Materials for Energy Storage
In this research, structural-functional integrated cement-based materials were prepared by employing cement paste and a microencapsulated phase change material (MPCM) manufactured using urea-formaldehyde resin as the shell and paraffin as the core material. The encapsulation ratio of the MPCM could reach up to 91.21 wt%. Thermal energy storage cement pastes (TESCPs) incorporated with different ...
متن کاملMechano-Physical Properties and Microstructure of Carbon Nanotube Reinforced Cement Paste after Thermal Load
The article presents the results obtained in the course of a study on the use of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for the modification of a cement matrix. Carbon nanotubes were introduced into a cement paste in the form of an aqueous dispersion in the presence of a surfactant (SDS-sodium dodecyl sulfate), which was sonicated. The selected physical and mechanical parameters were examined, and the correla...

متن کاملThe Mechanical Properties of Biocompatible Apatite Bone Cement Reinforced with Chemically Activated Carbon Fibers
Calcium phosphate cement (CPC) is a well-established bone replacement material in dentistry and orthopedics. CPC mimics the physicochemical properties of natural bone and therefore shows excellent in vivo behavior. However, due to their brittleness, the application of CPC implants is limited to non-load bearing areas. Generally, the fiber-reinforcement of ceramic materials enhances fracture res...
